Founder, Creative Director

Danny is the founder and creative director of the Marauders. He is a director, award nominated writer, occasional actor and gin lover!

Danny started his directorial journey at the University of Liverpool, directing his self penned short play Erebus, and Mark Ravenhill’s Pool (No Water) in 2013. Upon graduating the following year he formed the Marauders and took a series of works to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, culminating in a critically acclaimed version of Christopher Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus in 2019, in which he also played Lucifer.

More recently, Danny has worked on his first full length play, Lewd and Lascivious Acts, a show he took to the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival in 2024, and across the North West of England the following year. The same year he also directed an ambitious and well received all male version of The Bacchae. He is currently directing an adaptation of Mercury Fur by Philip Ridley which will be showing in May 2026 in Salford.

As an actor, Danny has starred in PurpleDoor’s production of Joe Orton’s Loot, and as Duke Frederick in their rendition of Shakespeare’s As You Like It. He also appeared as Mark Anthony in Julius Caesar, and in his first on screen appearance as Boring Brian in Moore Production’s The House at the End of Our Street.
