Lewd and Lascivious Acts (2025)
Written and directed by Danny Partington
Freddie and Paul meet in the notorious Eldorado nightclub in Berlin, the heart of Europe’s decadent and liberal culture. But as fascism begins to rise, and freedom transcends into persecution, can their love survive through hell itself?
Background
Following the play’s success in 2024 at the IDGTF, Lewd and Lascivious Acts returned to the Marauders’ home in the north west of England, with a new cast, new scenes, and a new impetus in the face of increased LGBTQ+ attacks and persecutions around the world. The heart of the story, Freddie and Paul’s love, remained unchanged, but the blistering fury and torment it had to endure to survive was turned up a notch, as the brutality of the real life suffering was laid bare on stage across 4 nights.
This version of Lewd and Lascivious Acts was performed in Salford and Liverpool in November 2025.
