The Marauders Theatre Company was formed in 2014 to create more adventurous, challenging, and intense theatre. Since then we have developed our own style of productions that have captivated audiences across the North West with powerful, emotive, and energetic shows, stretching from Ancient Greek classics to new works, and anything in between. What we do
At Marauders Theatre we specialise in creating dramatic and thought provoking theatre across the North West of England. These performances draw audiences into rich and immersive worlds, combining amazing storytelling, both physically and verbally, with tailored staging and lighting and tense choreography.
Original plays: creating and devising fresh work to tell new, important stories that deserve a space in our theatres and wider culture.
In-Yer-Face Theatre: Adapting existing scripts, either more intense stories that aren’t often staged, or adapting traditional tales in darker, grittier, more evocative way that leaves a lasting impact on audiences long after the curtain falls.
Develop visual, physical, and immersive theatre: We integrate movement, choreographed sequences, and strong visual design to where physicality and spectacle are central, inviting the audience into our world.
Support local talent: We work with regional actors, offering professional opportunities, mentorship and a platform for emerging voices, and providing them with a safe space.
Collaborate: We see our rehearsals as a collaboration, giving a chance for our talent to have their own input on the choices made throughout the process.
Our aim is to surprise and move audiences through intense storytelling, visceral performance and immersive design, leaving a lasting impression on those who experience our work.
