The Marauders specialise in creating theatre that captivates and shocks audiences, from classics, to contemporary, and new work, there is always something to look out for and be enthralled by.

The company performed its first show, Over There by Mark Ravenhill, in 2015 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival followed by Grand Guignol in 2016, a devised piece performed at the fringe. After a brief hiatus Marauders returned to Edinburgh Fringe in 2019 with Faustus by Christopher Marlowe, receiving positive feedback from reviewers.

In 2019, Marauders founder Danny Partington took a trip to Auschwitz Birkenau where he was inspired to write Lewd and Lascivious Acts. The piece was first previewed in 2023 at the Homotopia script writing contest and finished as a runner up before being taken for an award nominated run at the International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival in 2024. The show received overwhelmingly positive feedback. The Marauders would then perform an all male version of Euripides tragedy The Bacchae in 2025 before performing Lewd and Lascivious Acts in Salford and Liverpool the same year.

The Marauders are set to start off 2026 with a production of Mercury Fur by Philip Ridley. This will be showing on the 27th-29th May at the King’s Arms Salford.
